Every second person I work with on personal branding tells me the same thing: they hate selling. They don’t want to be salesy or too self-promotional. But here’s the thing—without sales, you don’t have a business. You have a hobby. And if you don’t have clients, there is no one to help.
SELLING IS NOT ABOUT YOU. It’s about the people who can benefit from your knowledge, experiences, and expertise. It’s about getting them from where they are to where they want to be—feeling successful, happy, and fulfilled, ultimately improving the quality of their life. When you approach selling from this perspective, it becomes an act of service, not self-promotion.
You pour your heart and soul into your coaching, courses, programs, and services because you love what you do. You are good at what you do, and you see your clients’ incredible results. Imagine how powerful it would be if you could channel that same passion into inviting people to join you for their transformation.
Last week, I posted an invitation to a 1:1 branding mentorship. I’ve already had over 15 sessions with so many amazing people, and more are on the way. Seeing people gain clarity, structure, confidence, and focus from our work together makes my heart sing. And it all started with that simple invitation.
So, next time you think about selling, I invite you to shift the focus. It’s not about boosting your ego or getting external validation. It’s about being there for someone who needs your expertise. Approach it with the intention to serve and a state of genuine care and enthusiasm for what is possible. Make it your responsibility to be visible, known, and approachable—so you can help those only you can help.
p.s. Are you ready to get excited about personal branding and selling, truly serving those who need you, and making the impact you are meant to make?
